TOP 5 smartphones you can still consider for this year 2022!

Hey guys! It's your Tech Girl, Mary. And welcome back to our channel. And for today, we'll talk about the five smartphones that I think you can still consider for the new year 2022. To be honest, I've had a hard time to pick only five smartphones to put in this video because of course of the many smartphones that were released last year.

There are a lot of impressive among those and there are also a lot that are not noteworthy. Yes. I know you're counting the phones in front of me. They're seven. And the five are not in here.

(laughs) These are just props. So for the five smartphones that I picked, of course I also considered a lot for them to fit in our top five. Of course, the first thing is the quality of its camera. Of course, the performance must be okay even if it's got an affordable price point. Third for me is that the smartphone should last long, which means that the warranty should be okay and the aftersales service should be okay too.

And of course, the last one, for all the specs that it has, the price point should be good.

Of course, there are phones that have great specs but if you'll look at the price, it'll hurt your wallet. But now, to be honest, there are more and more smartphones that have an impressive performance, camera, display, but will not empty pockets. And those are the popular phones right now. Let's start our top five, which is the Infinix Hot 11s.

By the way, this is in order so our smartphones will be more and more expensive. Let's start with the budget phone. And this Infinix Hot 11s has two variants actually. We have the 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage which cost Php6,990, while the other one is the 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage which costs Php7,990. As of the moment that you're watching our video, it's on sale on Lazada.

So in case you still want to buy or check this out, we have a link down below. To be honest, if you're looking for a smartphone for gaming that's on the lower end budget segment, it's kind of not easy to find.

We know that phones that offer decent software and performance are usually in the price segment of Php10,000-Php12,000. For me guys, Infinix really did created their space and they're really exactly targeting their audience. It offers a big display with high refresh rate which is 90Hz.

For me, for its price, it's a big steal to be able to buy a smartphone that has Helio G88. Not just that, it's got a full HD+ display and a very competitive set of cameras that has a 50MP as its main camera. Although, what I noticed in the Infinix Hot 11s is that its design is not its main selling point.

It's kind of flimsy for me, probably because of its polycarbonate back. So yes, the Infinix Hot 11s is a good option for those looking for a very capable budget device that has an affordable price tag.

The next one or our top four is of course the realme 8 5G. For the realme 8 5G, it also has two variants. The first one is of course the 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. This one costs Php11,990. And then for the cheaper option, we also have the 4GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage.

This one costs Php10,990. As of the moment upon checking, the realme 8 5G is not on sale, in case that you guys are wondering. But in case you still want to find it, the link is still below. I know 5G phones are trending last year 2021, and for this year 2022, I think it will become a big deal.

And this one is one of the priorities of buyers of smartphones.

And it's a good thing that this realme 8 5G is already futureproof. So in case you buy a realme 8 5G last year 2021, you're still good and okay for this year 2022. Indeed, there's no doubt that the highlight of realme 8 5G is it being 5G-ready. Another thing is its affordable price. But aside from those, I'm impressed with the longevity of its battery life, which is again, 5,000mAh.

Another thing guys, its screen quality and the performance are also good for its price. If you are on a budget, whether it's an early bird price or not, it really offers buyers some excellent value for money.

And in most areas guys, you get more than what you expect based on its price point. As of the moment, this is not of course the cheapest 5G-ready phone that was released last year 2021. Admit it guys, the 5G market is competitive.

And yup, if you need a 5G in the lowest price point, this is not it. But for me, besides its 5G connectivity, it's the one that caught my attention the most in its price segment. Although, when it comes to the camera department, it's just simple and basic of what we can get from it. But hands down, its photos are clear. Actually guys, I kind of got confused with it to the Redmi Note 10 5G because their specifications are not that different.

But again, I had to choose because we need to choose only one smartphone for our top four in the top five. Our top three, speaking of Xiaomi, we have the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

For this category, I kind of had a hard time because I also wanted to put the Tecno Camon 18 Premier. But then, when I compared its specifications and of course, price point, and I also checked my past videos, I ended up choosing the Redmi Note 10 Pro instead. Don't get me wrong guys, Tecno Camon 18 Premier is one of my favorites, but of course, we need to choose.

For the Redmi Note 10 Pro guys, its price is Php12,590 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. I don't know why but with all the phones that were released last year, this Redmi Note 10 Pro is the phone that I always talk about when someone asks me for a smartphone that I can recommend for them in the price that is affordable. This is the kind of phone that when I recommend it, I won't be embarrassed.

First of all, its design is very well rounded. Overall, I liked the color options that were given to us by Xiaomi here.

But of course, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite is more beautiful or more appealing for me. But then again, since at the end of the day, we all cover our smartphones. We put a case. And it's also not that important anymore with having the most beautiful phone because we're now always inside our homes.

Secondly, it's got an AMOLED display. And not that just, it's got 120Hz refresh rate on its display. So when it comes to the overall display performance that it gave to me, it really did offer me a good and almost perfect display for its price point. Aside from this, it's got an HDR10 certification, DCI-P3 color gamut and SGS eye care certification.

Overall guys, the Redmi Note 10 Pro, it covers the basics and of course, it really did standout because of its very strong spec sheet and its bang for your back. Of course, since we're also finding a good sound output, it's got stereo speakers and it's really reliable when it comes to longevity because it's got Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

And just like I said earlier in the beginning of the video, we should also consider the aftersales service. Good timing 'cause we have a new center. And actually this is one of the first exclusive Xiaomi authorized service center, which is located, guys, in the first floor of Market Market BGC. If you're still not following me in TikTok, guys, I made a mini vlog. I went in here and because I was invited by Xiaomi.

And I also brought my POCO M4 Pro 5G there for a very quick diagnostic checkup.

The phone didn't have any problem but to not waste my visit, I just brought a smartphone. Anyway, it'll be easier for us, Xiaomi and of course, POCO smartphones users to have their phones diagnosed in case we encounter any problems. So for our top four, to be honest guys, what I want to put here is the Pixel 6 Pro, this one in front of us. But the only reason why I don't want to put it there is because it's kind of hard to buy here in the Philippines.

And the second thing is of course, the warranty. Guys, I don't want that when you have bought a Pixel 6 Pro, for example you bought one in the FB marketplace or in Greenhills, is that you'll have a hard time trying to find where it can be fixed.

That's why guys, it's important that we're buying from authorized sellers of smartphones for, of course, peace of mind especially if you're the type of person who doesn't change smartphones every year. Of course, Android device is not like Apple where we can have it repaired here in the Philippines if we bought it from other countries. So for our two two, it's definitely the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

I know the jump in our pricing is kind of high, from Redmi Note 10 Pro to suddenly the S21 Ultra. But here me out first. I'm kind of happy with Samsung because guys, they really did a great job when it comes to listening to their customers. They're really improving unlike Apple wherein it takes two or three years before they can apply what consumers are asking.

I know that Samsung devices are usually expensive, but the good thing guys is, like I said earlier, they're listening.

Anyway, for its price, the S21 Utlra is Php69,990. But right now guys, it's on sale on Lazada at Php60,415. So yup, as usual, our link is down below. So for the S21 Ultra, guys, it fixed all the issues that I saw in the S20 Ultra.

Samsung really delivered a great all-rounder device for its clean design, beautiful and impressive display, blazing fast performance, and one of the most versatile camera systems that you can buy in a smartphone right now.

Although, it may not be everyone's cup of tea because of its size. I think this will the only problem I'll have with it because of course, I'm not a fan of big smartphones.

So again, if you can't justify its price point, this is what you should only look at. If we're just talking about versatility of camera, it's undeniable that the S21 Ultra is more of a winner than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. And although it was early 2021 when the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra was released, so meaning it was succeeded by other flagship phones that had Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.

I'll repeat it guys, the S21 Ultra that was launched in ours was not a Snapdragon but an Exynos. But it doesn't mean that it's a bad thing.

For those who are a long-time S series fan and upgrades every year, I know you know this one. And another thing guys, since it has very big RAM that you can get from it, which is 12GB as its base, it should be enough to last you for more than three years. And for our top 1, it's definitely and it's going to be an iPhone.

I know that maybe... You know..

. You might attack me on this because you'll say we have a brand loyalty or fanboyism. But listen to me first, guys, before you comment below. As someone who reviews a lot of smartphones, and actually it's like let's say 80% of all the smartphones that were released in the world I've already held. I don't have the exact statistics, but 80% was just my guess.

I think it is. This new smartphone of Apple, guys, raises the bar. And to be honest, It's hard to find any fault in the iPhone 13 Pro except maybe on the lack of Touch ID and its charging speed that maxes out at only 20W. But let's consider this. From an excellent and bright display that it offers, which is 120Hz OLED display, and it's even paired with the A15 Bionic's performance, this powerhouse of a smartphone can really cater to all of your everyday needs.

And it's not just only everyday, guys, even when it comes to your work. Someone might ask, why not the 13 Pro Max? To be honest guys, this same phone has telephoto zoom capabilities and all four iPhone 13 models have the sensor-shift optical image stabilization. So yes, you won't lose anything by opting for the cheaper and smaller iPhone 13 Pro. Aside from this guys, the battery life of the iPhone 13 Pro indeed changed and improved over the past iPhone models, which we know is a very big deal when talking about iPhones.

And to be real, if you're looking for a smartphone that's good to use for texting, for social media, and of course, for business, or let's just say you're a content creator, you won't fail when you buy the iPhone 13 Pro.

Of course, all of us want the absolute best experience on a smartphone. And if you want to experience that, you should consider, of course, saving or getting the iPhone 13 Pro. As of now guys, for the 128GB variant or the lowest that you can get in the market, it retails for Php63,990. And then if you're planning to buy in the grey market, you'll get it cheaper, especially if you're also looking for a dual SIM that is of course, most probably available only if you're going to get the Hong Kong unit or variant.

In bright sunlight or normal light, the pictures that will be offered to us by the iPhone 13 Pro is very hard to distinguish, guys, from other iPhone 13 phones or even iPhone 12 series.

Not only with this guys, but even on any high-end smartphone, it's really competent and you won't distinguish that much the difference. But if we're going to talk about lowlight performance, unlike other high-end Android devices, we'll really achieve the photos that we want to get at night. And aside from this guys, that I usually forget to mention, but iPhone 13 also has the best call quality that was given to me from all of it, or from all of the many high-end phones that I've tried for last year 2021. So yes, that's pretty much it for our top five smartphones that is still worth considering for the year 2022.

I'm just sad guys that the lineup of choices when it comes to smartphones is getting less because, first of all, we don't have the brands anymore that we look forward to like the Blackberry, HTC, and especially the LG Mobile. Of course guys, the more brand that we have in the market, the more competition, and more choices for us consumers. So yes, it's saddening that we don't have any phones that can we look forward to coming from these brands. But I hope that moving forward, there will be no more addition.

So guys, if there are phones that you want to be on my top five but it didn't became a part of my top five, let me know in the comment section below 'cause I'd be happy to of course, read it and have a conversation with you guys.

Again, it's your Tech Girl, Mary. And see you on our next video. Bye guys!.
